Shri Manoj Kumar is the Nominee Director (Non-Executive) on the Board of SBICAP Trustee Company Limited and the President & Chief Operating Officer of SBI Capital Markets Limited (SBICAPS).
A career banker with over 28 years of experience, Shri Manoj Kumar joined the State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1998. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has held several key leadership positions across diverse banking functions, including Retail Banking, Operations, Corporate Credit and Infrastructure Lending. He has served across multiple geographies, including the Northeastern region, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
Prior to assuming charge as President & Chief Operating Officer of SBI Capital Markets Limited and being appointed as Nominee Director of SBICAP Trustee Company Limited with effect from June 18, 2026, he served as General Manager, Commercial Client Group – Corporate Credit, State Bank of India, Gujarat. He was elevated to the rank of Chief General Manager (CGM) in State Bank of India on April 21, 2026.
Between 2017 and 2024, Shri Manoj Kumar served at the Project Finance Strategic Business Unit (PFSBU) of State Bank of India in Mumbai, where he held leadership roles as Assistant General Manager (AGM), Team Lead, Deputy General Manager (DGM) and Sector Head.
Shri Manoj Kumar holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He has also completed professional certifications in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Trade Finance and Risk Management, besides Executive Leadership Programmes from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
