Under SEBI guidelines, the appointment of a Debenture/Bond Trustee is mandatory for all issues with a tenure of 12 months or more. The Trustee acts as an independent safeguard for investors, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and protecting the interests of debenture/bond holders.
